Abstract

VILLEGAS REVUELTAS, Silvestre. Santannismo, reforma liberal y las campañas de Puebla en 1856. Estud. hist. mod. contemp. Mex [online]. 2010, n.40, pp.13-52. ISSN 0185-2620.

This article points out that although the Ayutla revolution put an end to the Santa Anna period, it did not eliminate the militarism that extolled it or the conservatism that continued to be valid as an ideology. It studies the liberal Reform enshrined in the 1855 Juárez Law and the 1856 Lerdo Law, which led to two uprisings in Puebla that were successfully put down by Comonfort's administration.

Keywords : Santa Anna period; Ayutla revolution; conservatives; disentailment; military uprising; Ignacio Comonfort; Tomás Mejía; Ignacio Orihuela; Reform.
