Abstract

ORTEGA PALMA, Albertina  and  CERVANTES MARTINEZ, Jorge. Bodies buried in vassels from Campeche state. Estud. cult. maya [online]. 2010, vol.36, pp.67-86. ISSN 0185-2574.

We present the results of the osteological analysis and microexcavación of two burials of children's subjects, one of fetal age (32 to 34 weeks) and one about 4 years old at the time of death, in two funerary pots from state of Campeche, belonging to the Late Classical and Terminal. The methodical digging, and drawing and photographic record, as well as the taphonomic study, led rebuild in third dimension the probable original position at the time of being deposited. Also, these cases allow us to locate elsewhere within the entity other regions that applied this funeral system in addition to those already known at Jaina.
