Abstract

This submission is an inventory of the library of María Fernández de Jáuregui. The document was prepared in order to submit a financial statement to Alejandro Valdes, also printer, who bought the Jauregui's business after her death. The transfer is significant in New Spain's publishing field because the Jaureguis had the oldest printing establishment of Mexico City. Also, during the presentation of the document, there is a brief analysis of the importance of the business transaction and the outstanding elements included in the document that is sheltered in the Sutro Library, at San Francisco State University.
