Abstract

JOHANSSON MONDRAGON, Steven Iván. Policy convergence and social change: The case of México (1982-2010). Rev. mex. cienc. polít. soc [online]. 2012, vol.57, n.215, pp.133-160. ISSN 0185-1918.

In this paper, the author analyzes the linking between policy convergence and social changes in Mexico. Though the core of the theory may seem inappropriate to describe the Mexican case (Mexican social structure is far from being dominated by its middle class), some of the changes experienced by this society during the last decades (like the evolution of the balance of strength between capital and work) can help to understand the policy convergence and the social change of it's Political Parties.

Keywords : policy convergence; social change.
