Abstract

MARTINEZ PUON, Rafael. The pendulum of State: return to the basics of its intervention. Rev. mex. cienc. polít. soc [online]. 2011, vol.56, n.213, pp.71-92. ISSN 0185-1918.

In this article, the author describes the importance of the State intervention in the economy, with a special mention of the philosophical foundations of the concept of intervention. In order to do that, the variable of neoinstitutionalization is used to contemplate the processes of intervention and an analysis of the reform of State is provided, with a particular focus on Mexico's case. The intervention of State is justified in terms of the market and the society without meaning an apology of it.

Keywords : State; model; market; intervention; philosophical foundations; neoinstitutionalization.
