With base of the study of historical experiences of collective action, this article makes an approach to the nature and reaches of the citizen mobilization in order to solve the environmental problems. It alludes to the instrumentation of alternative routes of participation that they look for to promote a suitable and environmentally equitable use of the natural resources, and emphasizes the contribution of a specific type of citizen organization forehead to a scene of environmental and civilizatory crisis. Specifically it makes reference to the Forum International in Defense of the Water, to the Latin American Court of the Water and to the environmentalist expressions that took place during the Other Campaign, events happened in 2006.
