Abstract

Through a quantitative analysis, this paper try to show how the patterns of commercial relationship, between Iberoamérica and Europe, had been changing as European Political setting did it. The variables uses are the metal shipments and slave trade; the last on like a proxy for mercantile crops (sugar, tobacco, cotton). The statistical results are imbedded into the context of a historical process for concluding nearby to Wallerstein's World-Economy concept.
