The aim of this paper is to analyze the level of technological capabilities that the firm ALFA has accumulated and search to identify if it has succeeded to built distinctive technological capacities. The analyze starts from a study case conducted at the leather Mexican firm ALFA, which produces leather for the car sector. At the same time, it analyses in which proportion the technological learning and the knowledge management has contributed to the gradual accumulation of these technological capabilities at the firm.
