Abstract

DELGADO WISE, Raúl. Perspectives for Ground Rent under Capitalist Development. Inv. Econ [online]. 2000, vol.60, n.233, pp.35-59. ISSN 0185-1667.

Considering the importance that the theory of ground rent has within any analysis of the nature-society relationship in contemporary capitalism, this paper' s author looks deeper into a fundamental, partially inconclusive question to be found in Marx's works regarding this subject: what is the tendential course of rent in capitalist development? In answer, the author concludes that, over the long term, the only perspective that capital opens to ground rent is that of successive displacement and relegation within the distributive ambit of unearned increment.
