Abstract

PEREZ AGUILAR, Raúl Arístides. El chicle en Quintana Roo: sus caminos y voces. Cuicuilco [online]. 2014, vol.21, n.60, pp.195-222. ISSN 0185-1659.

The collection of data, obtained through interviews with several chicleros, has allowed the approximate location of the chicle camps to be established as well as opening up the possibility of rescuing the special lexicon (by applying a questionnaire developed with the help of two of them) present in the tasks of extraction and decoction of the resin. The conclusions we have reached show that a lot of these tapper groups were formed in towns such as Los Divorciados or Noh-Bec, which survived the steps of the forest, and that the lexicon has special features.

Keywords : gum; vocabulary; herd; roads; testimony.
