Abstract

The article presents a discussion in the field of political philosophy related to the intellectual contributions of one of its most recent exponents, Arend Lijphart. According to Suárez-Iñiguez, Lijphart has proposed some ideas in modern political science that makes difficult to understand topics such as: modern democracy, political systems or political participation. Through a selection of concepts, the author breaks down, in his opinion, the main weaknesses of Lijphart's contributions.
