"Democracy", as almost every concept in Social Sciences, is a complex and multidisciplinary assembly of diverse elements which, in order to be understood, requires to be approached by a multifaceted explanation. This essay aims further than just an "arithmetic democracy" and focuses on a "political democracy" with ethical edges within a framework of education as a political goal. In spite of the serious conceptual crisis they are presently overcoming, Democracy as well as Politics are scrutinized in order to visualize a diagnosis able to bring hope to a fruitful action, against the devaluated phenomena they represent.
