The objective of the present article is to carry out an analysis of the relationship between humans and animals within the ritual sphere, specifically within the ethnographic context of the Capoeira in Brazil. The main point of the text is the development of anthropology of events which rejects the strict division between nature and culture as separate, exclusionary contexts. Returning to some of the ideas of Gabriel Taerde and Lévy-Bruhl, the article is centered on the concepts of desire, participation and intensity for analyzing the social concept in general.
