Abstract

DUQUESNOY, Michel. Mujeres mapuche williche del Sur Austral chileno: política y resiliencia en la construcción de un feminismo sui géneris. Nueva antropol [online]. 2015, vol.28, n.82, pp.83-101. ISSN 0185-0636.

This article is based on a potentially polemic hypothesis: various Mapuche Williche (Huilliche) women, by consciously confronting stigmas that affect them, are fueling a sui generis "feminist" discourse that may question their social and cultural sphere. Their arguments have surpassed political spheres, thus creating a postcolonial "feminist" concern, which is probably based on a collective show of resilience. This essay is based on a reflexive model founded on discursive interaction, supported by existing bibliography. Its purpose is not to prove the validity of feminist theories that are a source of perpetual dispute, but rather to, together with other colleagues, propose a model that may strengthen the study of "feminist" debates and epistemology that have arisen on the so-called "fringes of knowledge" or in the misnamed field of "subaltern knowledge."

Keywords : Mapuche Williche women; community resilience; postcolonial feminism; Chile.
