Abstract

VAZQUEZ PARRA, José Carlos. Las creencias como proceso de readaptación social: Una aproximación desde la racionalidad elsteriana. Nueva antropol [online]. 2014, vol.27, n.80, pp.139-149. ISSN 0185-0636.

As we move forward in this new millennium, it seems that delinquency has become an intrinsic part of the development of society, and although prisons are overflowing, the fact is that criminality has not decreased. Much of this is because life in prison, rather than rehabilitating prisoners seems to encourage the repetition of criminal activities. The present paper, supported by Elsterian analysis, envisages rehabilitation based on the modification of the beliefs of the inmates, because only in this way can new optimum social behavior be achieved.

Keywords : delinquency; crime; beliefs; rehabilitation.
