Based on the acknowledgement in an exhibition at the National University of Córdoba (Argentina), this article investigates and reconstructs the academic-scientific consecration of Monsignor Pablo Cabrera at two Americanist congresses that took place in Buenos Aires in 1910. The 17th International Congress of Americanists and the International American Scientific Congress were where Cabrera was accepted, presented his research, and was consecrated as a man of science. However the spark was that in the former there was debate on his origin. How then could a Christian man, a prophet of the truth of the dogma, listen to the rational truths of science?
