Abstract

FERNANDES CAETANO, Gabriel  and  CUNHA LEITE, Alexandre César. The foreign oolicy of Dilma Rousseff and Enrique Peña Nieto (2011-2015) The protocol equidistance of the “Mariachi-Bossa Nova” Axis.Translated byGonzalo Celorio Morayta,  Bernardo Mabire,  Jesús Jorge Valenzuela. Foro int [online]. 2018, vol.58, n.2, pp.313-342. ISSN 0185-013X.

This paper discusses the scope of relations between Brazil and Mexico during the terms in office of Dilma Rousseff (2011-2016) and Enrique Peña Nieto (2012-2018). The starting premise is that neither country has cooperated beyond commercial relations of convenience. This question allows us to understand, in part, the reason why there is a heated discourse of rivalry between Brazil and Mexico, although both countries share issues of common interest in the formulation of their agendas on foreign policy.

Keywords : foreign policy; Brazil; Mexico; cooperation.
