From the review of specimens deposited in scientific collections we report a new record of Sphingidae and three of Erebidae (Lepidoptera) for the state of Puebla. Records come from collections carried out mainly in the northern part of the state and contribute to increase the knowledge of insect groups poorly evaluated.
