Abstract

RUIZ MIGUEL, Carlos. Great Britain legal-political transformations:one way trip?. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2020, vol.53, n.159, pp.1181-1205.  Epub Jan 21, 2022. ISSN 2448-4873.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iij.24484873e.2020.159.15803.

The legal-political system of Great Britain, the oldest parliamentary model, created within the framework of an unwritten “Constitution”, has undergone since 1972, the date it accessed the european communities, profound transformations that have accelerated following the announcement of the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union. This process has altered the scheme of the distribution of power with a strengthening of the Parliament and the Judiciary to the detriment of the Executive. One may argue if there is a way back.

Keywords : british law; european law; parlamentarism; royal prerrogative; jurisdiction.
