This article undertakes a comparative analysis of the environmental liability systems of Chile and Costa Rica, specifically of two institutions; he existence or nonexistence of a special system of environmental liability, taking into account the following as variables: the existence of a law and special action, as well as of other specificities and the Environmental Courts of each system in their basic configurations. Then, we analyze the similarities and differences between both systems.
