Abstract

In this essay the author examines recent developments of what has been done in favor of the due protess of law at an international level, studying in particular the contributions of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, in application of the American Convention on Human Rights. The au thor analyses a series of decisions of said Court, which are useful to reach a common understandtng of the meantng of the due process of law: a printiple that puts limtts to State's actions, formed by a set of requisites that authortties must fulfll in order to protect people's rights.
