In this paper we present a study on the influence of CdCl₂ thermal annealing on the characteristics of CdS/CdTe solar cells. Particularly the short circuit current (Isc), the fill factor (FF) and the open circuit voltage (V_oc) are reported and discussed as a function of the annealing conditions. We show that the annealing improves substantially the open circuit voltage and the fill factor of the cells.
