Abstract

SCHALCH-PONCE DE LEON, Jorge  and  SANCHEZ-HOLGUIN, Mariana. Esophageal transit and gastroesophageal reflux scintigraphy as part of the clinical study of bronchoaspiration: Case report. Neumol. cir. torax [online]. 2014, vol.73, n.3, pp.193-195. ISSN 0028-3746.

Pulmonary aspiration is commonly associated to gastroesophageal reflux in children, nonetheless it is also seen in adults with a variety of causes. We are showing the case of a 20 year old female with history of multiple intubations secondary to pneumonic process, in which pulmonary aspiration is documented, associated with both prolonged intubation and gastroesophageal reflux, using SPECT-CT.
