Abstract

RIVAS AGUILAR, Liliana Marlen  and  CASILLAS ALVARADO, Miguel Ángel. Labor insertion of archaeologists. Cuicuilco. Rev. cienc. antropol. [online]. 2022, vol.29, n.84, pp.209-229.  Epub Feb 10, 2023. ISSN 2448-8488.

This research has as main objectives to know what are the characteristics of the labor market contexts to which archaeologists are incorporated and what relationship they have with the training in which they were prepared; We propose a new perspective to observe what the professional field of the archaeologist is, to know what the mechanisms of incorporation into the labor market were and how satisfied they state they are with the training received and with their current employment. For the study, the graduates between 2010 and 2015 were taken into account. The mixed methodology was used due to the nature of the study, since it covers qualitative aspects such as the opinion of the graduates and quantitative aspects such as the data that demonstrate the level of satisfaction with the results obtained.

For data collection, a questionnaire was applied through Google Forms; With the data obtained in the open questions, word clouds were generated using the free association technique with the help of the IraMuTeQ software.

Keywords : graduates; archaeology; labor market; training; satisfaction.
