This research has been oriented to the study of the teaching-learning process of graphics. Knowledge raised in the training of students of the Bachelor of Graphic Design at the De La Salle University. The historical-cultural approach constituted a theoretical-practical approach, from which an investigative experimental process was established. The study population was composed of 22 third semester students enrolled in the subject of Graphics Design, a subject that is part of the Graphic Design degree. In addition, samples of the mental tools are incorporated as evidence. That is, the presentation of a systematic record of exercises that the students carried out during the 2017-2018 academic year. Practices proposed in order to understand the concepts of design. Some of the results are presented in the present study.
