Nanotechnology is a science that has great expectations in several areas, because it includes the obtaining of very small blocks of matter, created a molecular or atomic level, to develop new devices or materials with improved properties. One of the most promising applications of nanotechnology is nanomedicine, which involves the development of nano-systems designed to monitor health, deliver drugs, cure diseases and/or repair tissues. Regarding drug delivery, this has been based on the old concept of the “magic bullet”, in which is established a research of tiny particles or nanocarriers that are able to lead drug to the site where they are required, in order to maintain and control the drug release in time and space.
