The prevention of infections related to health care is vital. Personal working and performing gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures requires adequate personal protection equipment and adequate training to transport, clean and process the endoscopes and related devices. This manuscript is the consensus on flexible endoscopes reprocessing procedures. It provides strategies on cleansing and disinfection procedures of flexible endoscopes.
