Abstract

Background:
The situs inversus totalis (SIT) is a rare congenital condition, in which the asymmetric organs of the abdomen and thorax have a mirror ubication; its association with abdominal aortic aneurysms, is unusual.
Case report:
We will present the case of a patient with SIT, who has an abdominal aortic aneurysm, taken to open surgical repair. The presentation of abdominal aortic aneurysms in patients with infrequent SIT, with few reported cases in the literature. Despite being an unusual relationship, elective treatment was safe, as we seen in our patient.
