Violence in same-sex dating relationships is a health problem for young people. The objective was to evaluate offline and online violence, the relationship between its types, as well as to analyze the presence of some associated factors in 51 Mexican gay men. The results highlighted the predominance of detachment and control, and the bidirectionality of violence; in addition, he highlighted a greater acceptance in myths of romantic love than in those about rape in men; finally, there was a high frequency in the practice of sexting and the need for more research on these phenomena with the LGBT + community population is discussed, as well as the development of prevention and intervention strategies.
