In Mexico, the different educational levels began distance classes from the confinement by COVID-19; therefore, the students had to resort to ICTs. The present research aims to explore and analyze the possible presence of symptoms of academic stress, as well as determine its relationship with academic procrastination, inappropriate use of the internet or addiction to social networks during confinement. 246 adolescents from the state of Puebla (Mexico) participated, the research is descriptive, correlational with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design. Symptoms of academic stress and its association with inappropriate use of the internet or social networks were found, although academic stress certainly did not correlate with academic procrastination.

Keywords : COVID-19; teenagers; academic stress; students; internet.
