Abstract

ALCALA FERRAEZ, Carlos. Smallpox and Women: Housemaids in the City of Campeche, 1855. Península [online]. 2013, vol.8, n.2, pp.39-64. ISSN 1870-5766.

In this paper about the smallpox, I’ve tried go beyond of the demographic variables for identify names and surnames of deaths for epidemics. I refer to the women as vulnerable group because they received a different manner that men, mainly for her activities at home and like a problem owing to worker women condition as a servant. They worked for survive, but her risk in the presence of the illness wasn’t mitigated.
