Objective: to analyze the production of the main agricultural crops’ dynamics from 2000 to 2018 in a Tlaxcala zone near to one of the automotive manufacturing complexes in Puebla. To analyze also the agendas of the different actors in the territory, such as farmers, government and share land authorities and their networks. Methodology: changes in the regional main crops’ area and production were estimated in two different periods and the actor-network theory was also applied. Results: there is a negative trend in the volume of agricultural production, and an agricultural policy oriented to improve private profitability at the expense of social profitability. Conclusions: although the process of territorialization of manufacturing companies located in San José Chiapa, Puebla, has not yet caused substantive controversies in the agricultural sector of the territory, it is necessary to promote strategies to strengthening regional agriculture.
