In this paper we report a new record of Plebeia fulvopilosa Ayala (1999) in the high mountains and adjacent sites of the Balsas Basin in Michoacán. Morphological differences of the collected specimens are compared with those previously described for the species in the mountains of southern Guerrero state, Sierra Madre del Sur.
