Abstract

NAVALLES GOMEZ, Jahir. Social Psychosociology in México: a cultural history. Polis [online]. 2014, vol.10, n.1, pp.78-107. ISSN 2594-0686.

The present work argues for the beginnings of social psychology in México. Not as a discipline, not as a science; perhaps like a custom or a social thinking stuff. The thesis one introduces a different discussion; social psychology was a cultural history. The discussion is located in the transition from the nineteenth to the twentieth century, from the speeches and scenarios from the project of modernity unfolded, there was recreated that meeting between the academic, intellectual and everyday colloquial descriptions taken at the beginning of the past century. It is argued that the psychosociology in Mexico is autonomous of the psychology and of the sociology, disciplines that also were constructed at the same time. Social psychology could be recognized at the urban environment, the places of free time and recreation and in the relations and social practices that those mundane characters realized. At the end, re-introduces that psychosocial process that turns understandably the cultural changes, the imitation.

Keywords : social psychology; history; culture; ambient; imitation.
