Abstract
VEGA LOPEZ, Eduardo. Water pressures, climatic threats and loss of biodiversity in Mexico: agenda and unpostponable policies of the new government. Economía UNAM [online]. 2019, vol.16, n.46, pp.126-135. Epub June 17, 2020. ISSN 1665-952X. https://doi.org/10.22201/fe.24488143e.2019.46.439.
This article poses three serious problems that the new government will have to face during the period 2019-2024: the increasing water pressures, the expensive climatic threats and the significant losses of biodiversity. At the national and regional levels, Mexico must address and resolve these serious problems by building an agenda with these priority public issues and by putting in place non-inertial policies that promote sustainable territorial development.
