Abstract

In recent years corporate social responsibility and internationalization have taken importance in various types of organizations. For this reason the main aim of this paper is to analyze the corporate social responsibility and internationalization in mission and vision of the main ports in Latin America. To achieve this aim a qualitative technique of content analysis was used in the mission and vision of 72 ports in 17 Latin American countries. The main results show more presence of corporate social responsibility than internationalization in missions and visions. Also the results show that 69.44 % of the ports take into account corporate social responsibility either in the mission or in the vision. Instead internationalization only is considered for the 8.33 % of the ports in the sample. The main conclusions are that the analyzed ports do not have aligned the mission and vision in its strategies of corporate social responsibility and internationalization.
