This paper outlines some of the most significant cultural changes experienced by the pasiego peoples, Vega de Pas, mainly as a result of the implantation of European economic policies, which are causing the collapse of the cattle breeding industry and the consequent loss of its central role, these policies are seeking, instead, to turn the pasiego landscape and culture into a national patrimony.
