Abstract

RUIZ TORRES, Miquel Ángel. Inorganic Sex in Cyberspace: Relationship between Science and Pornography. Desacatos [online]. 2002, n.9, pp.23-56. ISSN 2448-5144.

This article addresses the relationship between science and pornography, and how underlying the center of this relationship there is a transformation of our conception of the organic body, which has generated new expressions of erotic desire and new iconographic means for sexual representation. A constant feature dominating this transition is: the body is (re)constructed by science, and the ancestral myths linking reproduction to erotic life are undergoing an irreversible process of reinvention.
