Abstract

ARIAS, Patricia  and  WOO MORALES, Ofelia. Urban migration to the United States: Three examples of the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara. Pap. poblac [online]. 2004, vol.10, n.42, pp.37-72. ISSN 2448-7147.

At the end of the 1980 decade an important change in migratory flow to the United States was identified: the participation of people of urban origin. However, more than two decades after this finding, the urban migration is still a phenomenon that is not widely studied. To this date there are still many questions about the urban population involved in the migratory flow and the effects of this migration in the cities. To reveal these doubts specific studies must me made that tell the characteristics of the migration and urban migrants.
