Abstract
LUNA, Héctor. Aplicación de la biocatálisis a la preparación de intermediarios para la síntesis de fármacos. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2004, vol.48, n.3, pp.211-219. ISSN 0583-7693.
The utility of biotransformations for organic compounds preparation is well established; due not only to their regio-, chemo-and enantioselective characteristics, but also to the softness of the reaction conditions under which they are carried out. Nowadays biocatalysis has crossed the academic boundary, founding a special field of action in the pharmochemical industry, particularly in the manufacture of enantiopure compounds. Among the used enzymes are oxidoreductases, lyases, and specially lipases; they are used as isolated or immobilized enzymes as alive microorganisms. In this article some examples of how synthetic problems were solved through the use of biotransformations in the preparation of drugs intermediates are described.
Keywords : Biocatalysis; drugs; biotransformations; intermediates.
