During the latest decades the use of polymeric materials has grown in a spectacular manner. The polymer field embraces the most important industrial areas like: the pharmaceutical, the communications and the computers. At the same time the search for new materials has favored the development of copolymers as well as to the exploration of new ways in the field of the polymer blends. In this work we describe the regions of the phase diagram for the blend HDPE-PP. The main aim of this article is to locate compatibility windows in the complete range of composition as a function of the temperature. We use the Scott-Tompa model, the volume changes observed as result of the blend formations were considered, density, thermomicroscopy and the thermal analysis DSC data were collected and compared with the theoretical model.
