Abstract

ROMERO GALLARDO, Michelle Vyoleta; PENA GONZALEZ, Rodrigo  and  GONZALEZ ULLOA AGUIRRE, Pablo Armando. Brasil: raíces geopolíticas y actual influencia en expansión. Polít. cult. [online]. 2012, n.37, pp.233-253. ISSN 0188-7742.

The trajectory of Brazil's geopolitical aspirations covers a range of objectives that evolved from its regional restriction (in which its considerations were centered in its opportunities for hegemonizing South America), to its contemporary global goals. Today its success in the international society rises on economic and political pillars that transcend any conjunctural event. In spite of internal challenges such as extreme poverty, Brazil's perspectives for Latin American leadership and to become one of the economies that dominate the world, makes of the analysis of its geopolitical potential a central topic to understand the world scenario.

Keywords : Brazil; Geopolitics; Emerging Economies; Globalization; Foreign Policy.
