Abstract

FILHO, Marco Antonio Bueno  and  LOPES, Edson Cassius Duarte. Aspects of learning about Chemical Equilibrium at different levels of cognition. Educ. quím [online]. 2021, vol.32, n.3, pp.157-170.  Epub Mar 14, 2022. ISSN 0187-893X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2021.3.76636.

In this work, we accessed information about the schemes of action used by undergraduate students in tasks bout chemical equilibrium involving different levels of cognition. The transcripts derived from audiovisual recording underwent Discourse Textual Analysis based on the Theory of Conceptual Fields. Schemes of action at the molecular structural field involving the Chemical Equilibrium are characterized by the instrumental use of the relevant explanatory model in tandem with scientifically accepted concepts that communicate with alternative conceptions previously reported in the literature. Furthermore, there are significant differences in the use of concepts and operational invariants when switching from low-order cognitive tasks to high-order for the same concept fields.

Keywords : Chemical Equilibrium; Operational Invariants; Cognitive Skills.
