Abstract

LOPEZ PACHECO, Jairo Antonio  and  HINCAPIE JIMENEZ, Sandra. Collective Fields of Action and Human Rights NGOs: Theoretical Tools for Their Analysis. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2015, vol.30, n.85, pp.9-37. ISSN 2007-8358.

As a complement to the approaches of existing studies about collective action in defense of human rights, this article proposes an explanatory model about the configuration of the collective field of action of non-governmental human rights organizations in state contexts. We put forward the idea that the institutionalization of NGO collective action inside states exists due to the interaction of governmental dynamics and actors' mobilizing capabilities. This creates dynamics of collective fields of action with their own logics of production and reproduction.

Keywords : collective fields of action; non-governmental organizations; human rights.
