Abstract

INDA, Graciela. La interrogante política en Émile Durkheim: El abordaje del Estado moderno en la última fase de su producción (1897-1915). Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2008, vol.23, n.67, pp.110-148. ISSN 2007-8358.

A serious analysis of Durkheim's sociology of the state, distributed throughout his work, merits a periodization that takes into account multiple displacements and, at the same time notions, that reveal a commonality. Between 1883 and 1885, inquiry into the role of the state in the process of national unification occupied a privileged place, although it did not give rise to robust concepts. From 1886 until 1897, his interest declined because he was persuaded that diffuse moral practices are the most apt for regenerating society. In a third moment (1897-1915), this article's object of study, the issue takes on a certain renewed vigor, at the same time that it is profoundly reformulated.

Keywords : Durkheim; classical political sociology; state; social morphology; social morality; 1897-1915 period.
