Abstract

GONZALEZ RUBI, Mario Guillermo. Investigar hoy: una mirada a los patrones emergentes en la producción del conocimiento. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2007, vol.22, n.65, pp.81-102. ISSN 2007-8358.

Using references to sociology, the philosophy of science and public policy studies, the author presents the reader with an analysis of current forms of production of knowledge in the social sciences in Mexico. The starting point for the analysis is the premise of the heterogeneous development of scientific activity as a result of a series of historical, institutional conditions that allow for a comprehensive look at the process of institutionalization of academic science in our country. The article proposes a classification based on place of work, specialization and forms of organization and internal interac-tion of the groups of academics working in institutions of higher learning.

Keywords : institutionalization; differentiation; research by discipline; market research; patterns of interaction.
