Abstract

LAZZARO, Silvia B.. Development Policy and Agrarian Problems during the 1950s and 1960s. Secuencia [online]. 2012, n.84, pp.127-160. ISSN 2395-8464.

The purpose of this article is to study the projection of development ideas on the Argentinean economy and society, particularly within the sphere of the dynamic agricultural sector, from 1950 to 1960: the goals, the strategies implemented and the most significant effects. The criterion to be used emphasizes the consideration of public policies not only as processes determined by factors that operate within the territorial and legal limits of the state but analyzed as components and dimensions of a global network of power relations and interests that determine the logic and rationality that define the links between state and society within the international framework.

Keywords : Development policy; state; public policies; agro; property; land ownership.
