Abstract

DRI, Rubén. Prophecy and Deliverance. Acta poét [online]. 2010, vol.31, n.2, pp.167-184. ISSN 2448-735X.

The history of Hebrew people, just as the history of every people, is marked out by fighting among opposing social sectors, which express themselves through counterpointing projects. There is a monarchy project, and there is a prophets' project. The former pursues dominance over peasants, and the latter pursues deliverance, through a tribal confederation accepting Yahveh, the God of Moses, the God of liberation, as the sole king.

Keywords : prophets; kingdom of Yahveh; Israel; monarchy; confederation.
