Abstract

RAMIREZ ESCORCIA, Arturo. Heterogeneous entry into the labor market of graduates of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2012 (Social Mobility and occupational trajectory). Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2022, vol.51, n.202, pp.27-51.  Epub May 29, 2023. ISSN 0185-2760.  https://doi.org/10.36857/resu.2022.202.2116.

The occupational condition of the graduates of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2012 is exposed, in a context of slow economic recovery, despite the educational impulse of the institution. With the methodological tool of the Relative Occupation Index (IOR), the occupation conditions in which graduates enter the labor market are plausible, in three cohorts: years of graduation, educational levels, occupational origins and areas of knowledge. Issues of job insecurity and heterogeneity are discussed, as well as the importance of links between academia and other sectors.

Keywords : Social mobility; Occupational Social Classes; Labor heterogeneity; Job insecurity.
