Abstract

BARRON ARREOLA, Karla Susana; MADERA PACHECO, Jesús Antonio  and  CAYEROS LOPEZ, Laura Isabel. College womens and decision-making spaces: comparative study in Mexican Institutions of higher education. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2018, vol.47, n.188, pp.39-56. ISSN 0185-2760.

This investigation seeks to explore in a comparative way the participation of college woman in the Mexican public states universities that allows a picture of the progress that those institutions have had in equity and parity terms in the academy and, eventually in the decision-making positions of college life. The data shows an academy where the woman is evaluated from a male vision and generally, from the paradigm of meritocracy. To prime woman the access to a power and decision making positions, entails to consider the feminine talent that has been invisibilized, beyond of a displacement for lower qualification.

Keywords : Equity; Woman participation; Public universities; College woman; Academy.
